Ashley Sears is a Brooklyn based freelance photographer, who specializes in art's & entertainment, editorial, and travel based photography. She recieved a Bachelor’s of Fine Art’s, emphasis in photography from the University of Montana in 2008, followed by an internship at the Missoula Independent Newspaper in 2009.
Over the following two years, Sears found herself drawn to the world abroad, making her way to Europe, New Zealand, Israel, and across the United States. As reflected in her versatile portfolio,she used these adventures as an opportunity to capture the often raw, and sometimes
. serene beauty that each place had to offer.
In June of 2011, Sears brought her bold style to New York City, the epicenter of art and culture in America. Here she has focused her efforts on fashion and editorial photography, as well as documentary style portraiture. Whether it be exposing the latest political protest, capturing the story of street musicians in the subway, or shooting behind the scene's footage of fashion week, she fuses traditional journalism with a creative edge - finding constant inspiration in the city that never sleeps.
